Exclaim began as an educational compliance software tool designed to enhance risk and compliance training at university level. It was developed as a more interactive and effective learning experience compared to using compliance spreadsheets for student training.
In 2002, a leading South African bank approached us to create a risk management training course. After successfully training the bank’s risk managers, we expanded the course into a comprehensive three-day programme that was taught at the Institute of Risk Management.
Our strong academic foundation has shaped our commercial approach, enabling us to develop a trusted solution used by companies and institutions across the globe.

We’re a small, highly specialised team focused on dynamic decision-making and direct engagement with our clients. Our founders remain deeply involved in all aspects of the business, and they lead a content team, a development team and a support office that handles customer queries.
Our team has been working together for over 18 years, which has fostered a deep level of consistency and commitment. As opposed to large and impersonal corporate providers, we pride ourselves on our creative and agile work culture that encourages innovation without excessive bureaucracy, which in turn hugely benefits our clients.
